Due to expansion we currently have a vacancy for two Trainee's to join our Engineering team. The role is ideally suited to young persons aged between 17 and 20 looking to start a career in an exciting and innovative growth industry.
At times the role will require working at height, outside in all weather conditions and or in confined spaces which is often part and parcel of the installation and maintenance/servicing of electronic security systems such as CCTV, Intruder or Access Control.
Applicants should be dedicated and enthusiastic with a positive, can-do attitude and good communication skills, matched to the ability to understand instructions and carry out tasks. Full training is provided both on the job and from our offices, always with support.
Working alongside experienced and knowledgeable engineers, all Year 1 Trainees have a development plan to progress them to firstly a Year 2 Trainee and then as an Engineer – as such all Trainees are employed with the specific aim of progressing to the junior levels of Engineer within 2 years. A full Engineer’s Career Path is designed to make the trainees progression through promotion of role as well as earnings as clear and achievable as possible.
Although not essential a basic history or knowledge of working with hand tools, IT or electronics would be fantastic.
Candidates are required to hold a full UK driving license and have the means to get to and from our Northampton Head Office – a 40 hour working week between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday applies.
The role benefits from a basic wage based on the government’s minimum wage criteria up to £15,579 per annum. All PPE and uniform is supplied. In addition to the 8 statutory bank holidays, a holiday entitlement of 20 days also applies.
