      Service, Repair & Maintenance Engineer

      As we continue to grow and enter the next phase of our expansion, we are pleased to announce we are accepting applications for a Service, Repair and Maintenance Engineer to join the business.

      As a company we primarily focus our service delivery upon the following Manufacturers:

      Xtralis Adpro, Optex, GJD, Toa, Plena, HIK Vision, Pelco, Eaton/Scantronic, Pyronix, Galaxy, Texecom, Visonic, Paxton, CAME, Videx/Rhino

      Qualification & Skills:

      Primarily involved in the repair and service of existing installations, the right candidate will be able to highlight the following skill set:

      · A minimum of 2 years working for another Security Installation Company.

      · Experience in CCTV, Graded Intruder Alarm, Access Control installations, Repair, Maintenance and Servicing.

      · Be able to work independently and initiatively and as part of the wider engineering team when required.

      · To adhere to NSI codes of practice and industry standards.

      · To support/liaise with the Head of Engineering.

      · Great time management skills and high attention to detail.

      The right candidate will be over 21 years of age and hold a current, full UK drivers licence. They will be prepared to work Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 4.30pm (40 Hour Week) and be part of an out of hours on call roster on a 4 week rotational basis – this is rewarded by an on call increment of £50 per week when on call, with additional payments for any out of hours telephone calls or callout attendances required when on call that week. Further optional opportunities for overtime are also possible, should you desire.

      Ideally you will also hold a current IPAF licence – however training can be arranged if that’s not the case.

      The majority of our work remains within local travel distance – 30 minutes or so – of our Northampton offices, however we do work nationally for a number of higher profile clients. Working away, whilst very occasional, is supported by food/lodgings allowances as the work dictates and is subject to an additional bonus structure.

      Salary & Benefits:

      An incentive programme also ensures that all engineering personnel are financially rewarded beyond the time spent on site, ensuring that travel time is also met fairly.

      The role benefits from a basic wage, dependant on experience up to £30,000 per annum with on target earnings expected to be in advance of £35,000 a fully livered vehicle including fuel, all required power and hand tools, a company laptop and mobile phone allowance in addition to the optional company pensions scheme. All PPE and uniform is also supplied. In addition to the 8 statutory bank holidays, a holiday entitlement of 20 days also applies. A work place pension scheme also exists and is optional for all staff members.

      In addition our offices provide training and development facilities for engineering personnel, alongside an Engineer’s Research and Development program. Engineers also benefit from full use of the companies in house facilities, including gym and showers.

      Salary OTE: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

      Mobile Patrol and Control Room Officer.

      We are seeking 1x Full Time or 2 x Part Time officers based at our head office in Moulton Park Industrial Estate, Northampton or our on patrol through the county. Working 12 hour shifts on a week to week basis (up to 4/5 shifts full time or 2/3 if you prefer part time) we issue shift rosters up to 16 weeks in advance to allow our officers to adequately plan life outside of work. Your time, on a shift by shift basis, will be split between our active, private space CCTV monitoring control room or as response, in the field n one of our Mobile Patrols vehicles.

      Our facilities include free onsite parking, gym and refreshments, all set in an environment built specifically for officer welfare with dining space, showers and lockers all available.

      The roles suit vigilant individuals with a keen eye for detail, we have hundreds of private space CCTV systems around the UK which we monitor each evening, offering a tailored monitoring service often on a site by site basis so a working knowledge with PC’s and preferably similar CCTV environments will be essential.

      When acting as a Patrol Officer your experience in alarm response, unlocking and locking client premises and providing in the field support to our CCTV Monitoring services will ensure your able to deliver our services promptly and professionally.

      Each shift is worked alongside up to 4 other officers (at peak time), the majority of hours are worked overnight, however weekend works including day time shifts are also commonly part of the role.

      Our business, operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week and this helps present options for overtime or additional hours should you want them. We also ensure a sliding pay scale so should you find yourself a part of a smaller control/patrol team you can expect your earnings to be higher – our team approach ensures that if you have had to work harder, you get paid more as that’s both right and fair.

      In addition we offer a basic wage aligned to your experience – we have no problem if you have no previous control room or patrol experience as long as you have the desire for us to teach and enhance your skills. You may be a very experienced officer already, equally we would be delighted to speak to you and discuss how adding your skill set to our own experienced team may work. Regardless, the pay scale means that we are able to offer above market rate hourly pay to all.

      In addition to the pay scale we also award Stars for tenure, service and review of our officers, each Star increasing your hourly rate as acknowledgement of a job well done. Across our Control and Patrol services we also ensure a monthly incentive scheme is in place so that the three best performing officers each month receive a bonus.

      So flexible shifts, sliding pay scales, increments earned vs hourly wage and monthly incentives – these elements combine to see our control room staff well rewarded for a job well done. Officers typically earn from £9.50 per hour to £17.50 per hour dependant on experience, shift plan and team size.

      In order to work as an officer with us, you must hold both a valid and apt SIA and Driving Licence in addition to having a checkable work history.

      A typical shift within our Control Room would provide a varied and fast paced challenge that would include:

      • Handling Telephone Calls
      • Dealing with Incoming Alarm incidents
      • CCTV Monitoring of Private Space Premises on an activation basis
      • Liaising with Staff and Clients
      • Dispatching Mobile Patrol Officers

      If operating as Patrol Officer as part of our response teams, a typical shift may include:

      • Responding on site as Key Holder within 20 minutes of an alarm activation
      • Investigating suspicious activity observed via our Control Room CCTV monitoring services
      • Completing scheduled locks, unlocks and patrols
      • Meeting with static officers for welfare checks
      • Working in partnership with our control room officers

      In addition, our personnel department will support you as much as you prefer in order to progress, developing Personal Development Plans to ensure you have every chance for further Stars, role changes and of course increased earnings.
