      Mobile Patrol Officer

      Our Control Room, which governs our Mobile Officer response and has operated 24 hours a day without interruption for almost 3 decades, uses state of the art CCTV and Alarm Receiving systems and protocols – our Patrol Officers make full use of secure touch pad screens to access response details and generate reporting. This is being further enhanced as we speak with a full Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software roll out that makes it even easier and swifter for our officers. Our control room is also supported by a team of Admin Personnel to ensure accurate information is never more than a touch away.

      Our fully livered Patrol Vehicles are serviced and maintained to a high standard to ensure you are comfortable and safe whilst conducting your duties – full uniform (incidentally our One Team moto means everyone from our Patrol and Control Officers to our Receptionist and Directors wear the same uniform) and PPE is also supplied.

      In order to work within our Response teams as a Mobile Patrol Officer you will receive full training, however there are a few essential you must have in order to be considered:

      1. An active and apt SIA License.

      2. A checkable work history

      3. A clean UK Driving License

      A typical shift within our Control Room would provide a varied and fast paced challenge that would include:

      · Scheduled Locking and Unlocking of Sites

      · External and Internal Patrols of client premises

      · Response to Confirmed and Unconfirmed Intruder Alarm activations.

      · Proactive response working with our controllers in respect of Remote Monitored CCTV sites.

      · Escort Service to both private and commercial residential care homes

      · Welfare and Spot Checks to Static Guarding Sites

      · Vacant Property Inspections

      · Secure Data Delivery

      You would expect to work an average 40 hour week, normally in the form of 3 to 4 shifts to include a roster basis over weekends – working schedules are issued 4-6 weeks in advance to allow you to plan ahead. The position requires the majority of hours to be worked overnight from 18:00 to 06:00hrs or 19:30 to 07:30 hrs however some shift inclusions during the daytime (Saturday and Sunday) will be met on a shift basis.

      To make the Control and Patrol teams working life more comfortable – the role includes full use of the in-house Gym and Shower, the dining and break out spaces as well as Prayer/contemplation area, bike racks and free parking.

      In addition, our personnel department will support you as much as you prefer in order to progress – all fundamental roles to the business are supported via a career progression path here at Scorpion which provides all employees the ability to clearly track their progress within the company. For our Patrol Officers this is most visible via the issue of our Stars Reward System which can be awarded due to exemplary performance and or tenure in the business. Each Star increases the hourly rate of pay, rewarding the individual for his or her achievements as they continue to work for us. This can also help towards progression into other roles in the business, such as Control Room Officer.

      The hourly pay for this position is up to £11.00 per hour + Bonus and Incentives, as well as the possibility of additional hours covering stand by shifts at £15.00 per hour. Our internal Star Rankings ensures that your rate of pay can increase as you ably demonstrate your abilities.

      Furthermore, you will also be enrolled into the company pensions scheme, benefit from around 28 days holiday per annum and increase your earnings via the internal Dream Team Bonus scheme open each and every month.

      We would prefer that you join the business with experience but as our delivery is unique this isn’t essential – we will provide the training needed to help you maintain our service standards.
